New Short begins filming September 23, 2017

We are very excited to announce that our new short film, 'Harmful,' starring Bryan Veronneau, Erika Thormahlen, Michael Coppola and Jeremiah Kissel, will begin principle photography on Saturday, September 23, 2017 and will finish the second week of October.

'Harmful' will be shot in and around Southern New Hampshire / Northern Massachusetts and will be the fifth short film by Sweven Films.

'Harmful,' written by Mark Battle, is a gritty, psychological horror film and will be the first production by Sweven Films in over two years since 'Here Lies Joe' in 2015.

HERE LIES JOE named #9 Best Short Film of 2016

It has been a breakout year for both up-and-coming as well as established talent. This is especially true in the medium of the short film. From heart-wrenching and experimental dramas, to mind-bending multi-genre tales, horrifying chronicles of fear and uproarious comedies, here is the list of my twenty favorite related works in this field from 2016. Please note that the name of the director of the piece is provided after the title of the production. Enjoy!
